Short films must be no longer than 30 minutes.
All submissions must be available via a link; any submissions not available as digital links will not be accepted.
International entries are welcome; subtitles for English-speaking audiences are highly encouraged.
Submissions must focus on the subject of “Fear,” but don’t think this limits you — your film could be a comedy, a drama, a horror film, a documentary, whatever genre you feel comfortable creating in.
As the semi-finalists will be screened on YouTube, we ask that you do not use copyrighted music. If you need access to cheap music, please check out Musicbed.
The submission window opens on June 1, 2019 at 9:00 PST. Submissions must be in no later than September 1, 2019, at 11:59 PST; to check the time in your time zone, please use the World Time Clock or another applicable site.
Submissions must be accompanied by a working email address and the filmmaker’s legal name in order to be eligible for any prize.
This film challenge has a hard submission deadline of September 1, 2019. After every submission is in, they will be screened by Bryan Edward Hill to narrow down the top 15 semi-finalists.
After the top 15 semi-finalists have been chosen, a group of Hollywood industry professionals will screen the films and make a determination on the winner.
The winner and the runner ups will be notified via email on November 30, 2019. An email will follow the announcement for specific information to ensure that the winners receive their prizes. THE GRAND PRIZE: $5,000.
Note: This competition does not feature voting by the general public.
Here are some things we want you to keep in mind:
Pulpwave, Inc. will not own any rights to your short film.
We request permission to upload your short film to YouTube if you are selected as a semi-finalist.
While we welcome international entries, please note that the grand prize of $5,000 is in USD.
